Who we are
This website is run by Scout AI Group Ltd ("Scout", "we"). We are the data controller for the personal information collected through it. You can reach us at contact@joinscout.org.
What we collect, and why
Contact form. Your name, work email address and message, and, if you choose to give them, your organisation, role and phone number. We use these to reply to your enquiry and to prepare for any session you book with us. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
Property data test (social housing page). The boxes you tick are scored in your browser and are not sent to us unless you ask for the checklist. If you do, we receive your name, work email, organisation and your score so that we can send it and follow up. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in responding to your request.
Notes from Scout (newsletter). Your email address and the fact that you consented. We use it only to send you our occasional notes. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us.
Website analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not identify individual visitors. It records aggregated page views, device type and country.
We do not buy, sell or share marketing lists, and we do not use your information to train AI models.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies and does not store information on your device.
Who processes your information for us
- Vercel Inc. hosts the website and provides the analytics.
- Amazon Web Services (EU, Stockholm region) receives form submissions, stores them and emails them to us.
- Microsoft 365 holds our email and files.
Where a processor is outside the UK, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are deleted from our submission store after 12 months. Enquiries we reply to are kept as ordinary business correspondence for as long as the relationship lasts and for six years afterwards for accounting and legal reasons. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email contact@joinscout.org and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when anything here changes and show the date at the top.
